MATERIALS TECHNOLOGY: TECHNOLOGICAL SERVICES

The main lines of work of the unit of Technological Services are:

Non-destructive surface inspection

Failure and degradation analysis in metallic and ceramic components by:

Corrosion
Fracture
Wear
Welding

Technological services

Chemical characterisation:
- Chemical analysis by spark/arc emission spectrometry
- Combustion gases analysis (LECO)
- Analysis by SEM with EDX and EBDS
Microstructural characterisation:

Optical microscopy
Confocal microscopy
Electron microscopy
Mechanic characterisation:
- Traction, compression and flexion tests
- Fatigue tests
- Determination of deformations using the GOM-Aramis system
- Hardness, microhardness and nanoindentation tests
- Dilatometry tests
