ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY: AQUAREHAB
The objectives of the project are to develop a variety of rehabilitation innovative technologies for different representatives kinds of pollutants (origin areas, feather contaminants, diffuse contamination) and worrying compounds in deteriorated water bodies (pesticides, nitrates, CAHs, BTEX). Another objective of the project AQUAREHAB is to develop methods (feasibility tests), tools (numerological models) and policies for the design of the rehabilitation technologies and also for the determination of their impact (long-term) on the local pollutant flows. It also seeks to develop a management tool "WATERPROTECT" which the collaborators and management bodies will be able to use so as to evaluate the ecological and economical effects of several corrective measures at the river basins. Moreover, a method for linking the effects of the rehabilitation technologies with this tool is also being developed.
