ENERGY: ARTSEA
The objective of the project is the development of new Life Support Systems (LSS) for artificial aquatic ecosystems. These systems should mean a technological jump forward based on environmental sustainability and cost minimisation criteria, what implies the maximum efficiency in the use of resources.
The following companies integrate the consortium: CONSULT, SERVAQUA, ABM, FLUIDRA and BARCELONA REGIONAL.
All the elements which form the value chain in this field of work (artificial aquatic ecosystems) are represented in the project: Knowledge of ecosystems, water treatment installation techniques, techniques for the energetic optimisation of the installations, design and management of marine zoos. The company SERVAQUA leads the project and is also in charge of the coordination of the works and integration of the technologies developed.
The Area of Energy of CTM participates with the main objective of improving the energetic efficiency of LSSs through the development of a monitoring and management expert system for the energetic demand.
The partial objectives which have to be developed are: Energetic characterisation of LSSs, Development of an energetic model of the plant which will make it possible to make consumption forecasts and Development of a monitoring and management expert system for the energetic demand.
