SIMULATION: INTEGRAUTO
Increase of the added value of automotive components by the integration of functionalities obtained from the interconnection of innovative processes.
Integrauto is a Proyecto Singular Estratégico (PSE- Singular Strategic Project) financed by the Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación (Ministry of Science and Innovation) in the frame of the Programa Nacional de Cooperación Público-Privada of the Spanish National Plan for Scientific Research, Development and Technological Innovation 2008-2011. The project will consist in the development of a demonstrator which is called Supported Module or Cockpit. At present, the manufacturing of this component involves a lot of tasks which are associated with a great deal of work force. Different modules (mostly made out of plastic) such as air vents, airbag frames, etc, are fastened (usually with screws) to a metallic stand which is obtained through deformation and many welded seams. Moreover, because of this way of working the shapes of the subsections of the group are not optimised and therefore there is a lot of margin for improvement in the design and the reduction of weight. Hence, this component presents a wide margin for improvement in its design and weight reduction possibilities through the use of new materials and technologies for their transformation and union.
Companies and centres which are collaborating on the project apart from CTM: CENIM-CSIC, MGEP, UPC, Azterlan, CCP, LABEIN, Lortek, CIC marGUNE, SERNAUTO, Alfa Microdifusion, Cie Automotive, Industria Puigjaner, Loire SAfe, TTCarreras, Volkswagen
