Non destructive test methods for composite materials
The Project MENDESMACO is partially financed by the Ministerio de Industria, Turismo y Comercio (MITYC- Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce) and by the program Nucli Cooperatiu ACC1Ó (CIDEM/COPCA). The research carried out in this project is addressed to the development of an expert system for the detection of defects on composite materials (CFRP and GFRP) through the use of three techniques: ultrasounds, confocal microscopy and thermographic cameras.
Companies and centres which are collaborating on the project apart from CTM: Mapro, Composites ATE, Enertika, SENSOFAR, AMADE, MCIA and CD6.
