ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY: SOSTAQUA (Technological Developments towards a sustainable cycle of city water)
Fundació CTM Centre Tecnològic participates actively in the CENIT project SOSTAQUA which is lead by Aigües de Barcelona SA. The objective of the project is to assure the self-sustainability of the cycle of city water. This will be achievable as far as the need for natural resources can decrease (water and energy) and the volume of wastes generated is reduced.
The project seeks to contribute to this objective by means of promoting non conventional sources of water, with the valuation of the wastes generated and by minimising the external energetic demand to the cycle of water, as well as by evaluating the sanitary-environmental risk which involves.
